I never aspired to a flashy corporate career. The truth is my relationship with accounting originated from a deep desire for peace. As a first-gen American, I craved financial security. I wanted to understand how to invest and grow wealth like the families I saw around me doing. But since grade school education fails miserably on the financial education front, I had to take it into my own hands.
And so, I got a Bachelors in Accounting. Then a Masters. Then my CPA license. Then I dipped. Because the accounting world can get a bit boring, and I wanted my life to be anything but that.
At the end of the day, accounting was always a means to an end for me. Something that could teach me the foundations to building a life I have control over. It helped me build my business and my dream life. I used it to create my own peace.
And now I help others do the same.
